There are so many rug companies today selling machine made and hand made imitations of Persian Carpets, that you can’t always be sure you are buying the genuine article. While two carpets may look the same, there can be enormous variations in the quality, value and workmanship.
For health reasons alone, there is increasing evidence that the natural fibres and organic dyes used in the making of authentic Persian carpets are less likely to cause allergies than the synthetic materials used in machine made rugs.
